Frequently Asked QuestionsEvent Format | Marketing | Setup | Event Day | Post-Event
This FAQ document is designed to help you find information that you may not be able to locate elsewhere on the site. Most non-marketing questions people have are answered in the Exhibitor Checklist or the Presenter Guidelines. If you have a question that is not asked or answered in this section, please send email to rich@horizonevents.com.
Are there any general sessions? There is only one general session, in the morning at 8:00, which is NOT a commercial session. There are no speakers at lunch. Rather, it is an orientation to the event, and an opportunity for attendees to start meeting each other and relevant discussing technology issues.
Can I invite key clients to come and attend just my briefings?Attendance is by Invitation Only, and registrants are paying to attend. However, a limited pool of free afternoon passes are available for key clients not already enrolled after the event sells out. At some events, only sponsors can enroll free afternoon attendees, depending on the configuration of the event. If you are eligible, you will be emailed a link to a special web site when afternoon passes become available. If you would like to preview the online form, or print it out so that your salespeople can gather the information ahead of time, please visit the static form at which is usually hosted at the web at something like: connect200x.com/free. The actual link will only be distributed via email -- there is no way to get to this form via the Connect event or HorizonEvents websites.
Can I place something on the chairs at the welcome address or lunch?Generally the answer is no, especially at the welcome address. If you have an announcement you would like us to make about a change in your briefings or something special you are doing at your exhibit or in your briefing room, there is a place on the welcome program for such announcements. Since most of the briefings and exhibits are of a commercial nature, we do not want to start the day by bombarding the attendees, who are paying to attend this event, with promotional materials. We sometimes make exceptions for sponsors, especially if they lay out a bag for attendees to carry materials throughout the day.
