Connect is a one-day executive technology event which tours from city to city hosted by local Chambers of Commerce.

 

Connect flies in insiders from leading international technology companies to meet with hundreds of local CEOs and heads of government for a series of intimate executive briefings.  The presenters are NOT propeller-heads – these are people who understand the business side of the desk.

The foundation idea behind Connect is that 21st century companies demand technology-savvy leadership to compete.

 

Since 1981, Horizon has produced events for over 300 associations and communities worldwide, attracting those at the pinnacles of leadership and bringing in highly qualified presenters - people who understand the business side of the desk.  Horizon has helped tens of thousands of executives sort the tools from the toys and provide solutions to real world problems.

 

Attendance at Connect is BY INVITATION ONLY.  No telemarketing, no direct mail, not even online registration; the only way to register is through an in-person invitation.

 

Every stop on the tour has been presented to a sold out audience, even in secondary markets.

In attendance are CEOs and other technology decision makers with authority for over 100,000 employees.  Attendees pay several hundred dollars to participate, so they take the event very seriously.

 

Connect kicks off with a "State of the State of the Art" welcome address presented by key sponsors, followed by breakout sessions running throughout the day.  Presenters each deliver seven one-hour briefings, over 100 DIFFERENT BRIEFINGS at each event.  Numerous tracks are offered, including: Executive Briefings, Technical Briefings, Teddy Bear Briefings (non-technical), Hands-on Labs, Crystal Ball Briefings, Birds of a Feather Briefings, SuperSessions, and Power Panels.

 

Between sessions, attendees are invited to visit the Future Now showcase area.  Hand-selected national and local technology experts whose products and services fit the briefing topics exhibit in booths located in central and common areas, in walking paths between briefing rooms.  Attendees can play with the hands-on exhibits, "Connect" with business colleagues, and swap stories and tips.
